Casa de Maio Podengos
Home of Portuguese Pooches with Pizzaaz! We are owned by some very charming Portuguese Podengos. Ours are the compact variety — Portuguese Podengo Pequeno. They graciously allow us to share the house with them, and are the most delightful pets. We work closely with the Portuguese breeders to ensure that the work we do in the US showcases podengos that are fine representatives of their national breed. Puppies, adults, stud service available.

Broken Road Kennel
We have been showing dogs of all breeds for over forty combined years; in the last six years we have come to love the Portuguese Podengo Pequeno breed. They fit in well with our Beagles. We find no other breed compares to the loving pack nature of these little hounds. We're happy to talk to anyone interested in these fabulous dogs. Email us at brokenroadkennel@gmail.com.

I have been involved with purebred dogs since the early 70s. With over 100 AKC Champions to my credit (including Group winners, Best In Show winners and the only Border Terrier to place in the group at Westminster) I bring years of experience and dedication to the Portuguese Podengo world. I began with Portuguese Podengos in 2005. Since then our Podengos have won many Specialties and gained UKC Championships. They have also done well in the Agility arena. I look forward to showing in the AKC Miscellaneous Classes starting in January 2011. I plan to continue showing in UKC as well. Puppies are raised in the home. Well socialized pups are available occasionally for pets, agility and conformation showing. Come join us as we lovingly bring this beautiful hound to the US.

Floresta Podengos
We became interested in the wire-hair Portuguese Podengo Pequeno in May 2002 when we decided that we wanted a small dog to share our family life. After having had many different large breeds of
dogs over our lifetime, and having shared the previous 26 years with trailing Bloodhounds who lived in the house with us, we decided to look for a small breed that had the following qualities: good health, friendly personality but not overly dependent on constant attention, fairly easy to train, could be trusted around
very young children, strong and sturdy especially in our New England winters, and enjoy snuggling up
with its human family members. To our delight, we have found the PPPWH to have all of these traits and more. Puppies, adults, stud service available.
